Dear OKX Users,

To optimize your trading experience and reduce trading costs, OKX will adjust the minimum order quantity for selected perpetual contracts during October 22, 2024 (14:00–16:00 UTC+8). Order quantity precision will be updated simultaneously.

FAQs

1. What are order quantity precision and minimum order quantity?
Order quantity precision refers to the smallest incremental change allowed for order sizes. For example: If ETH/USDT perpetual contracts have a precision of 0.1 contracts (=0.01 ETH), orders must increment by 0.1 contracts (e.g., 1.1, 1.2).

The minimum order quantity is the smallest allowable order size, always a multiple of the precision. Users cannot place orders below this threshold.

2. How will positions and open orders display after adjustments?
If precision is adjusted below 1, fractional contract quantities will be visible for:

Example: For SHIB/USDT contracts with 1M SHIB face value, adjusting precision to 0.1 contracts allows displaying 10.5 contracts (=10.5M SHIB).
